Concert Grants

SENA offer Concert Grants to all University Music Departments for performance(s) by orchestras or ensembles.  These grants are subject to applications from the various music departments with a definite commitment to perform a significant number of music-works by Southern African composers who are members of SAMRO.  The grants are available for the Western Art Music genre as well as for Big Bands performing jazz.   Universities currently receiving these grants are: The University of Cape Town, the University of Stellenbosch, the Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University, North West University, the University of Kwa-Zulu Natal, the University of Pretoria, the University of the Free State, the University of South Africa and the University of the Witwatersrand.
